Two funded PhD positions available in AI/NLP/Data Science at U. Porto/INESC TEC. Apply by July 31st for a start in 2025.

Highly motivated candidates are invited to apply for two PhD positions at the University of Porto/INESC TEC. The selected candidates will join the NLP and IR team, working on diverse topics such as Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, and Information Extraction. • Position 1: Combines data science, machine learning, and generative AI for a real-world application, focusing on prediction, missing data, and metalearning.
• Position 2: Involves developing AICA, an AI conversational agent based on Large Language Models (LLMs) for the European Union’s food system.
