The Robot Learning Lab at the University of Freiburg, Germany, is seeking two highly motivated PhD candidates to join their team. The successful candidates will work on projects related to robot navigation and perception, with a focus on automated driving and robot navigation.

The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree in computer science, robotics, machine learning, computer vision, or a related field, as well as strong programming skills in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Prior research experience in areas such as collaborative perception, scene understanding, and multi-object tracking is desirable for the PhD position in Perception and Tracking for Automated Driving.
• Prior research experience in areas such as foundation models, planning and reasoning, and reinforcement learning is desirable for the PhD position in Robot Navigation.
