Two Research Positions in Computational Social Science / Computational Linguistics at IMS Stuttgart, Germany

The Theoretical Computational Linguistics group at the Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS), University of Stuttgart, Germany, is seeking applicants for two research positions in Computational Social Science / Computational Linguistics as part of the MULTIVIEW project. The positions are for a PhD candidate and a postdoctoral researcher. The deadline for applications is October 6, 2024.

The Theoretical Computational Linguistics group at the Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS), University of Stuttgart, Germany, is seeking applicants for two research positions as part of the MULTIVIEW project. The positions are for a PhD candidate and a postdoctoral researcher. The project aims to diversify perspectives in news recommendation systems based on textual and discourse features. The candidates should have a background in computer science, computational linguistics or a related field, with experience in natural language processing and neural network modeling. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of English are required. Prior experience with recommendation systems and large language models is considered a plus. The PhD position is for three years and the postdoctoral position is for 13 months. The deadline for applications is October 6, 2024.
