Upcoming RSS Workshop on Task Specification for General-Purpose Intelligent Robots
The Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) conference is hosting a workshop on Task Specification for General-Purpose Intelligent Robots, taking place on July 19th, 2024 in Delft, Netherlands, and online. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from various fields, including reinforcement learning, human-robot interaction, natural language processing, formal methods, foundation models, representation learning, and cognitive science, to develop a shared community-level understanding of task specification in various formalisms and sensor modalities.
The submission deadline is June 14th, 2024, and submissions can be 2-4 page extended abstracts or 4-8 page papers. The review process will be double-blind, and all accepted papers will be invited for a poster presentation. Submissions will be made available as non-archival reports, allowing for future conference and journal submissions.
Areas of interest include robot learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, formal methods for robots, human-robot interaction, foundation models, developmental robotics, representation learning, and cognitive science. Notable speakers include Hadas Kress-Gazit, Peter Stone, Jesse Thomason, David Abel, and Cédric Colas.
