The VarDial 2026 workshop, co-located with EACL 2026 in Rabat, Morocco, invites submissions on NLP for similar languages, varieties, and dialects. Topics of interest include language resources, cross-lingual transfer, and machine translation between closely-related languages.
- Language resources and tools for similar languages, varieties, and dialects
- Cross-lingual transfer and adaptation of models
- Automatic identification of lexical variation and language varieties
- Machine translation between closely-related languages
Submissions should follow the ACL Rolling Review template and be submitted as a PDF. The review process is double-blind. More information is available on the workshop website.
Important dates include a direct submission deadline of December 19, 2025, and a pre-reviewed submission deadline of January 2, 2026.
