The 15th Workshop on Computational Approaches to Subjectivity, Sentiment & Social Media Analysis (WASSA 2026) is calling for papers. The workshop will be held as part of EACL’26 in Rabat, Morocco, from March 24–29, 2026.

WASSA 2026 aims to bring together researchers working on subjectivity, sentiment analysis, emotion detection, and their applications to other NLP or real-world tasks. Topics of interest include:

  • Resources for subjectivity, sentiment, emotion, and social media analysis
  • Opinion retrieval, extraction, categorization, aggregation, and summarization
  • Humor, irony, and sarcasm detection
  • Mis- and disinformation analysis and the role of affective attributes
  • Multimodal emotion detection and classification
  • Social groups analysis and their interactions in social media

Important dates:

  • December 17, 2025: Direct submission deadline
  • January 2, 2026: ARR submission deadline
  • January 23, 2026: Notification of acceptance
  • February 3, 2026: Camera-ready papers due
