Workshop on Generative AI for E-Commerce at CIKM 2024
The Workshop on Generative AI for E-Commerce will be held in conjunction with CIKM 2024, taking place on October 25, 2024 in Boise, Idaho, USA. This workshop aims to delve into the potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) in transforming e-commerce through improved user experience and operational efficiency.
E-commerce businesses face challenges such as inadequate product content, subpar user experience, and sparse datasets. Gen AI offers promising solutions, but implementing these technologies at scale presents hurdles like hallucination, high costs, increased latency, and limited generalization in sparse data environments. This workshop gathers experts from academia and industry to discuss these challenges and opportunities, highlighting case studies, breakthroughs, and practical implementations of Gen AI in e-commerce.
Topics of interest include personalized search and recommendation systems, large language models for product descriptions, image models for product images, multi-modal models for product videos, catalog creation, inventory management, virtual try-ons, LLM-driven recommendations, advertising and promotion systems, system efficiency, customer service automation, and ethical implications. Submissions are welcome until August 9, 2024, with notification of acceptance by August 30, 2024, and camera-ready versions due by September 13, 2024.
Keynote speakers include Himabindu Lakkaraju, Manisha Verma, Xia Ning, and Shahram Khadivi.
