The Centre for Translation Studies at University of Surrey is proud to announce Convergence 2026, a conference focused on Human-AI Integration for Multilingual and Accessible Communication. The event will take place in Guildford, UK, from 17th to 19th June 2026.

The conference invites submissions on themes such as:

  • Ethical aspects of AI in translation and interpreting
  • AI-enabled digital accessibility and societal inclusion
  • The evolving role of language professionals in the era of AI
  • LLMs supporting multilingual communication

Submissions are open for long papers (max 8 pages) and short papers (max 4 pages). The deadline for submissions is 14th March 2026.
