PhD position in Interactive Alignment for HRI at VU Amsterdam

The Social AI group at VU Amsterdam is hiring a PhD candidate to work on Interactive Alignment for HRI, in collaboration with Idiap Research Institute. This project aims to align human and robot mental models for better collaboration using reinforcement learning, human-in-the-loop feedback, and insights from psychology.

Key aspects of the research include:

• Combining reinforcement learning and human-in-the-loop feedback
• Creating adaptive, user-aware robot behavior
• Validating methods through interactive experiments with real robotic platforms
