The 1st Workshop on Computational Affective Science (CAS 2026) invites submissions on research related to understanding affect and emotions through language and computation. The workshop is co-located with the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC) 2026 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on May 16.

Topics of interest include:

  • The Nature of Affect and Computational Modeling of Emotions
  • Affective Data and Resources
  • Emotion Recognition, Prediction, and Inference
  • Applications
  • Explainability and Interpretability in Computational Affective Models
  • Ethics, Fairness, Theory Integration, Philosophical Implications
