The 1st Workshop on Computational Affective Science (CAS 2026) invites submissions on research related to understanding affect and emotions through language and computation. The workshop is co-located with the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC) 2026 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on May 16.
Topics of interest include:
- The Nature of Affect and Computational Modeling of Emotions
- Affective Data and Resources
- Emotion Recognition, Prediction, and Inference
- Applications
- Explainability and Interpretability in Computational Affective Models
- Ethics, Fairness, Theory Integration, Philosophical Implications
