The First Workshop on Creating Interoperable Corpora of Historical Newspapers (PressMint-LREC2026) will be held on 16 May 2026 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. This half-day workshop, supported by CLARIN and the PressMint project, aims to gather experts in creating, processing, and analyzing interoperable corpora of historical newspapers.
The workshop invites submissions of unpublished original work on topics including compilation, annotation, and utilization of historical newspaper corpora, harmonization of existing multilingual corpora, and employment of LLMs for historical data processing.
