Postdoc position in emoji semantics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the project ‘Decompositional Semantics of Face Emojis in Digital Communication’ at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. The project aims to develop a formal semantics for emojis and investigate their meaning components.
Your tasks will include independent research, participation in the DFG priority program ‘Visual Communication’, planning and conducting linguistic online experiments, and collaboration on publications and presentations.
Required qualifications include an above-average linguistics PhD, background in theoretical linguistics, and demonstrated experience in experimental linguistics and statistical methods.
