🇮🇹 Call for Participation: 2nd International StepUP Biometric Footstep Challenge

Participate in the 2nd International StepUP Competition for Biometric Footstep Recognition at IJCB 2026 in Rome, Italy. Develop verification models using a large database of footstep recordings.

The 2nd International StepUP Competition for Biometric Footstep Recognition is hosted as part of the IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2026) in Rome, Italy. Researchers are invited to develop verification models using a database of over 200,000 high-resolution recordings of underfoot pressures during walking.

The competition focuses on three key challenges:

• Generalization to new users with limited reference samples
• Robustness to unseen conditions, including extreme shifts in footwear and walking speeds
• Fusion of information from consecutive footsteps
