The 1st International School on the Cognitive, Ethical and Societal Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence (AIces 2026) will take place in Porto, Portugal, from March 30 to April 2, 2026. The event is co-organized by the University of Maia and the Institute for Research Development, Training and Advice (IRDTA).
AIces 2026 aims to update participants on the latest multidisciplinary discussions about AI’s foundations, challenges, and risks. The event will cover three thematic lines: cognition, ethics, and society, with more information available on the official website.

- The event features 10 courses, 2 keynote lectures, 3 symposia, and 3 open thematic debate sessions.
- Participants can attend in person or online, with all lectures being videorecorded for 45 days after the event.
