Call for Shared Task Proposals: ArgMining 2026

Submit shared task proposals for ArgMining 2026 by December 22, 2025, focusing on argument mining and reasoning tasks, especially those aligned with the theme ‘Understanding and evaluating arguments in both human and machine reasoning’.

The 13th Workshop on Argument Mining and Reasoning, ArgMining 2026, is inviting submissions for shared task proposals. The workshop is co-located with ACL 2026 in San Diego.

Argument mining focuses on identifying argumentative structures in text, such as premises and conclusions. Recent advances include explainable argumentation and multimodal settings.

  • Proposals should include a title, task description, dataset details, evaluation methodology, and task organizer introductions.
  • Submissions are due by December 22, 2025, via email to argmining.org@gmail.com.
  • The tentative schedule includes training data release in mid-January and evaluation ending in mid/late March.
