CASE 2025: Call for Papers on Automated Extraction of Socio-political Events

CASE 2025 invites submissions on automated extraction of socio-political events. Deadline: 4 August 2025. All accepted papers will be published in the ACL Anthology.

The 8th edition of the Workshop on Challenges and Applications of Automated Extraction of Socio-political Events from Text (CASE 2025) is being held in conjunction with RANLP 2025. CASE is a premier venue for research and advancements in automated event extraction and analysis, focusing on social and political event data.

We invite submissions of research papers, resource papers, and position papers on topics including:

  • Event extraction at various levels and event coreference
  • Dataset creation and annotation for event extraction
  • Event-event relations and evaluation of event datasets
  • Event schemas, tools, and infrastructure for event analysis
  • Applications in conflict prediction, policy support, and more
  • Bias, fairness, and misinformation in event extraction
  • Cross-lingual and multimodal event extraction
  • Use of LLMs and generative AI in event extraction

All accepted papers will be published in the ACL Anthology. Submission deadline is 4 August 2025.
