Convergence 2026 conference focuses on human-AI integration for multilingual and accessible communication, with themes on AI ethics, digital accessibility, and language professionals.

The Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Surrey is proud to announce Convergence 2026, a conference focused on the integration of human and AI capabilities in multilingual and accessible communication.

The conference will explore themes such as:

  • Ethical aspects of AI in translation and interpreting
  • AI-enabled digital accessibility and societal inclusion
  • The evolving role of language professionals in the era of AI
  • LLMs supporting multilingual communication
  • Responsible use of language AI in the public sector
