FIRE 2025: Call for Papers – 17th Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation

FIRE 2025: Submit papers by 18th September 2025 for the 17th Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. Topics include IR, NLP, and AI research.

The 17th meeting of the Forum for Information Retrieval Evaluation (FIRE) 2025 will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, India, from 17th to 20th December 2025. It will be an in-person conference seeking high-quality, original paper submissions.

Topics of interest include:

• Search and Ranking: Queries, retrieval models, efficiency, and scalability.
• Evaluation: User-centric and system-centric evaluation, query performance prediction.
• Generative Models for IR/NLP: Conversational search, simulated data, fairness, and trustworthiness.
• Explainability, Fairness, and Trust of IR/Recsys models.
• Multimodal and Crossmodal IR/Recsys models.
