HIPE-2026 Shared Task: Person-Place Relation Extraction
Participate in HIPE-2026 Shared Task on extracting person-place relations from historical documents. Registration open until 23 April 2026.
The third edition of the HIPE shared task is announced, focusing on extracting person-place relations from multilingual historical documents.
Participants are invited to develop systems that can determine whether a relation exists between a person and a location mentioned in a document and classify its temporal scope.
- Registration is open until 23 April 2026 at https://clef-labs-registration.dipintra.it/.
- Training data will be released in two stages: partial data on 19 Dec 2025 and full data on 19 Jan 2026.
- The evaluation period is scheduled from 5-7 May 2026.
- The workshop will be held at the CLEF conference in Jena, Germany, from 21-24 Sept 2026.
