ICMI 2026 extends deadline for Multimodal Grand Challenges proposals to January 16, 2026. Proposals sought for challenges in data, algorithms, applications, and multidisciplinary research.

The International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI) 2026 is calling for proposals for Multimodal Grand Challenges. The deadline for submissions has been extended to January 16, 2026.

ICMI is a premier forum for research on multimodal human-human and human-computer interaction. The conference aims to develop believable, autonomous, and adaptive HCI systems.

• DATA CHALLENGES: gathering new experimental data and theories
• ALGORITHM CHALLENGES: developing algorithms and models for human-level intelligence
• APPLICATION CHALLENGES: implementing HCI systems for societal benefit
• MULTIDISCIPLINARY CHALLENGES: promoting exchanges and new approaches in ICT
