The 5th Workshop on NLP for Positive Impact co-located at EMNLP 2026 invites submissions. Visit the workshop website for more information.

Key areas of focus include grounding NLP in real-world impact, underexplored applications, and interdisciplinary collaborations. A special theme this year is measuring the societal impact of AI and NLP.

• Submission types: identifying social needs, proposing new tasks, literature reviews, user studies, and more.
• Submissions must address ethical and societal implications with a clear focus on positive impact.

Important dates: ARR May Cycle Submission Due – May 25th, 2026, Direct Submissions Due – June 26th, 2026. Submit via OpenReview.
