Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) has released its December 2025 newsletter, highlighting key updates and new publications.

Key highlights include:

• LDC 2026 membership discounts available until March 2, 2026. Join or renew membership to access current and past LDC releases at a discounted rate.
• The release of LDC’s 1,000th corpus, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to providing diverse data and research support.
• Deadline for Spring 2026 data scholarship applications is January 15, 2026. Apply now for no-cost access to LDC data for research.
• LDC’s office will be closed from December 25, 2025, to January 2, 2026, in observance of the University of Pennsylvania’s Winter Break Policy.

New publications include:

• 2021 NIST Speaker Recognition Evaluation Test Set, developed by LDC and NIST, containing approximately 447 hours of speech and image data.
• LORELEI Sinhala Incident Language Pack, comprising 8.1 million words of Sinhala monolingual text and other resources for NLP research.
