MIRROR challenge at IberLEF2026 for developing Generative AI methods

The MIRROR challenge at IberLEF2026 invites participants to develop Generative AI methods for creating synthetic conversation turns to improve models trained to recognize behavior codes in motivational interviews. The goal is to generate valuable data for training models to assess clinicians’ motivational-interviewing skills.

Key points:

• Develop high-quality datasets representing a wide range of clinical conversations
• Include samples featuring clients from diverse backgrounds and varied conversation topics
• Provide three datasets of at most 100 labeled conversation turns for each pair of considered behavior codes
