NEJLT Seeking Assistant Editors for Language Technology Research

NEJLT seeks assistant editors to help manage submissions, promote research, and improve journal operations in language technology and computational linguistics.

The Northern European Journal of Language Technology (NEJLT) is calling for volunteers to act as assistant editors. NEJLT is a gold open-access journal focused on language technology and computational linguistics research with a global scope.

As an assistant editor, responsibilities will include:

  • Finding and contacting suitable action editors for new submissions
  • Identifying submissions requiring attention and sending reminders
  • Checking camera-ready versions before publication
  • Promoting newly published papers on social media

NEJLT has handled 18 submissions between January 1st and September 30th, 2025, with an average time to first decision being 78.5 days. Interested volunteers can contact Marcel Bollmann for more information.
