NUS CogAI4Sci team recruits PhD students, postdocs, and interns for Jan/Aug 2026. Research focuses on machine learning for autonomous AI evolution, creativity, and biomedical discoveries.
The CogAI4Sci team at the National University of Singapore is recruiting fully funded PhD students/postdocs for Jan/Aug 2026 intake and interns/visiting scholars starting in late 2025.
Our research focuses on developing machine learning methods for AI systems to autonomously interact with the world and learn generalizable rules. We work on 3 Automatic AI Engines:
- Automatic AI Evolution Engine: Make AI that improves AI
- Automatic AI Creativity Engine: Improve creativity of generative machine learning models
- Automatic AI Discovery Engine for Biomedical Sciences: Use self-evolving AI to help make new discoveries in biomedical sciences
