VinMotion seeks PhD experts in AI and Robotics to join their research team in Hanoi, Vietnam

VinMotion is seeking highly motivated PhD-level Experts in AI and Robotics to join the Robotics Research Team in Hanoi, Vietnam. The successful candidates will drive open-world robot learning and physical execution across core pillars such as Dynamic Locomotion, Dexterous Manipulation, Semantic Navigation, and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI).

Key qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field, strong background in robotics, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning, and proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks.

• Dynamic Locomotion: Advancing robust, perceptive movement over complex terrain using Deep Reinforcement Learning (RL), Sim2Real transfer, and vision-integrated Whole-Body Control.
• Dexterous Manipulation: Enabling contact-rich, bimanual object handling and mobile manipulation through imitation learning, skill primitives, and multi-modal sensing.
• Semantic Navigation: Developing 3D scene understanding, Vision-Language-Action (VLA, VLN) models, and socially aware planning to navigate unstructured environments like a human.
• Human-Robot Interaction (HRI): Building safe, collaborative workflows through physical compliance (pHRI), human intent prediction, and intuitive natural language interfaces.
