A workshop on ‘Ethical and Technical Challenges for Identity-Aware NLP’ will be held at LREC 2026 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from May 11-16, 2026. The workshop aims to raise the question of ‘what makes each of us unique?’ to the NLP community.
The workshop will feature keynote speeches, paper presentations, and a participatory design activity. Topics of interest include modeling subjective phenomena, auditing identity representation, bias detection, and fairness interventions.
