Call for Abstracts for the Methods Fair at the 62nd Annual Conference of the Leibniz Institute for the German Language. Submissions due by October 15, 2025.

The Leibniz Institute for the German Language is hosting its 62nd Annual Conference, themed ‘German in the European language area: current status and prospects’. As part of this event, a Methods Fair will take place on March 11, 2026, in Mannheim.

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for resources, tools, and methods related to the German language or comparative studies involving German and other European languages.

  • Topics include corpus usage, empirical language data collection, language policy analysis, and the impact of generative AI on German language use.
  • Submissions should be sent by October 15, 2025, to methodenmesse2026@ids-mannheim.de.
  • Accepted contributions will be presented as posters and published in IDSopen after the conference.
