The 2nd Workshop on Ecology, Environment, and Natural Language Processing (NLP4Ecology) invites submissions for LREC 2026, focusing on NLP applications in ecological and environmental contexts.
The 2nd Workshop on Ecology, Environment, and Natural Language Processing (NLP4Ecology) is calling for submissions. The workshop, to be held at LREC 2026, invites contributions that advance NLP research in the context of ecological and environmental issues, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
Topics of interest include:
- Sentiment, Argument, and Stance Analysis of Environmental Topics
- Automated Linguistic and Discourse Analysis, and Topic Modeling
- Detection of Anthropocentric and Speciesist Biases
- Text Classification, Entity Recognition, and Environmental Monitoring
- Fact-checking and Greenwashing Detection
- Ecofeminism, Environmental Justice, and Language
Submissions are invited in two categories:
- Regular Papers (4-8 pages)
- Non-archival contributions (up to 4 pages)
