Tampere University invites applications for Professor positions in Fundamental and Applied Machine Learning. Deadline: January 12, 2026.

The Department of Computing Sciences at Tampere University is seeking Professors in Fundamental Machine Learning and Applied Machine Learning at all tenure track levels.

Two positions are available:

• Position 1: Fundamental Machine Learning – Research on developing ML methods, e.g., robust ML, causal ML, and interpretable ML. More information
• Position 2: Applied Machine Learning – Research on applying ML in various fields like computer vision, NLP, and robotics. More information
